Free to choose and enjoy the daily program from any day of your choice.
CGK International School is an international school with two campuses in Naka-ku, Yokohama, with more than 160 students.
Since its opening, CGK has emphasized inquiry-based learning and is IB PYP candidate school in our preschool and elementary school.
In this Spring School, students will engage in a variety of fun and educational activities while nurturing their ability of self-expression, critical thinking skills, and spirit of inquiry.

1st to 5th grade students
*Required to have experience of English learning.
*We assume that students have a basic level of conversational English. If you have any questions or uncertainties, please consult with us in advance.

*You can apply on a daily basis. Please select as many days as you like.

*For CGK Afterschool students, afternoon lessons will be available on the same days as their regular afterschool days, so students can stay until 7pm by applying for Regular Course at no extra charge after 2:00pm.Field Trip

Engage in physical challenges while having fun with their friends in English.
There are a variety of fun physical activities that students can try throughout the day and a lunch break where they can catch their breath. We will take the bus from CGK. There will be a back up plan indoors at CGK depending on rain. |

Spread over multiple floors the science museum located in central Tokyo holds a variety of exhibits that students can explore at their leisure. |

Learn how a debate works and take part in one.
Students will learn the basics of debate and work together in teams to come up with an argument to support their point before taking part in a debate. |

Create original games that everyone can enjoy using various classroom supplies.
Students will use their imagination and creativity to create games out of classroom materials that everyone can enjoy. |
| Mar 26(Tue) | The Life Cycle of Plants |
Explore the life cycle and various parts of plants.
Students will learn about the life cycle of plants, monocots, dicots, and the various parts of plants. We may take the students to a local park to find and categorize different plants they find. |
| Mar 27(Wed) | The Life Cycle of Butterflies |
Learn about the fascinating life cycle of butterflies.
Students will explore the life cycle of butterflies through discussion and crafts. There is the possibility that we may take the students outside to try identify different types of butterflies. |

Make music using water and glass jars.
Students discuss why different amounts of water in a glass jar can affect the sound made when the jar is hit. Using what they learn students color code their water and water and work together in groups to make their own music that they can perform for everyone. |
| Mar 29(Fri) | Cup Noodle Museum - Field Trip |
Enjoy a day out at the cup noodle museum.
Learn about the history of cup noodles and create your very own! Weather permitting, we will have a picnic in Rinko Park. |

Enjoy a fun filled day at Asobimare.
New students and old alike can bond while playing in English at the super fun indoor play center Asobimare. |

Enjoy a picnic and active day out at the Children's Nature Park.
Enjoy an active day playing at the park talking with friends in English. We will take the bus from CGK. There will be a back up plan indoors at CGK depending on rain. |

Research and create an original American style carnival.
Students will look into what a USA carnival looks like and what games are popular before creating their own version of a carnival that everyone can enjoy. |
| Apr 4(Thu) | Sea Paradise - Field Trip |
Enjoy a day out at Sea Paradise.
Students will have the opportunity to learn about various different sea animals, watch various performances, and enjoy a giant wooden 3D cube maze. |
| Apr 5(Fri) | Egg Drop |
Work together to protect an egg!
Students must design and create a device that will protect an egg from breaking when dropped from a height. |

- Do you provide bus transportation?

No, we do not. We ask that parents/guardians drop off and pick up their children, or the children commute to the school on their own.
- Are school lunches provided?

Yes, you can bring your own lunch or order a lunch on regular course days. Please bring your own on field trip days.
- Can I visit the school before I apply?

Yes. You are welcome to observe an actual afterschool classes. Please feel free to contact us.
- Is it possible to extend the hours of care?

Pre-extended care (from 9:00 or 9:30am) is available. No extended care after the end of Seasonal School (2:00pm for regular course days and 4:00pm for field trip days) is available.
- Can I apply by the day?

Yes. Seasonal School is available on a per day basis.
- Is there a maximum capacity?

Yes. Regular course (approx. 45 students/day), field trip days (approx. 30 students/day).
- Is it possible to receive feedback after attending the seasonal school?

Yes. After each lesson, we will give you a report of the day's activities along with photos.
