CGK is a welcoming place for international students from abroad with a view to encouraging multicultural cooperation. Students from different
cultures and backgrounds can interact with and help each other at CGK, bringing rich diversity to the classroom.
These experiences in new environments provide valuable opportunities for children to learn different perspectives and deepen mutual understanding.
As an international school in Japan, we are an ideal place for students from abroad to experience Japanese culture
while welcoming children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
We accept students from 2 or 3 years old for a minimum of 1 week.
(Depending on the class situation, we may not be able to accept students.)

Yokohama city was ranked in the best place to live for the 12th time in a row. With a population second only to Tokyo, you get an urban feel with tourist attractions and events while still enjoying nature. It is a wonderful place for international students to study/stay in Japan, with very good access to Tokyo.
Since the program is at an international school, students who can't speak Japanese can enjoy their study abroad experience in Japan through English, the official language of the school.

Parent Class
CGK will have regular classes, free of charge, for international families. These classes allow participants to learn about and experience Japanese culture and daily life. These classes are intended to provide support for foreign families living in Japan, so we will create an environment that allows participants to feel comfortable at CGK. Since families of short and long-term international students also participate, this is a great opportunity to expand the community and strengthen connections.

Home-stay and Accommodations
After finding out the accommodation needs of participants, we will make arrangements for them to stay near the school. In a home-stay arrangement, participants will stay with a CGK family and experience typical Japanese life.
*We are looking for families who can help us accommodate home-stay students, so if you are a CGK family and interested, please contact us.

International Services Department
Our professional staff, experienced in caring for international students, will support you through the entire process, from pre-study procedures to returning home, easing any worries you may have about school life in Japan and life in a foreign country.
We provide full support, listening to each student's individual needs, making sure their life as an international student in Japan is special.

Japanese Language Study
We have daily Japanese classes for all students including Japanese as an Additional Language (JAL), with four different levels. Our purpose is not just to study the language, but to deepen our student's understanding of both Japanese culture and their own culture.

Weekend Events
Our weekend events create positive opportunities for the children, their families, and our school's teachers and staff to interact with each other. In addition, CGK hosts the Yokohama International Family (YIF), which provides opportunities for international families to interact.
