A brief interview will be held with the parents and the child. Enrollment results are based on a variety of factors.
Please note that parents or guardians do not need to be proficient in both English and Japanese for your child to be admitted.
Acceptance and Payment: Enrollment is secured after completing payment.

Open School on Weekends

During the session, our teachers who work with children on a daily basis will look after preschool-age children in a designated activity area, so please feel free to bring your child with you.

Schedule	Saturday, August 22, 2026, 9:00-10:30am (in Japanese) Saturday, August 22, 2026, 11:15am-12:45pm (in English/Japanese) *This will be the last open school before the first admission screenings (September 5-6). Please note that there may be no vacancies after the first admission screenings.

IB Experience Session

Where Play Becomes Learning
Discover CGK’s Inquiry-Based Approach

For this experience session, children will not simply sit and learn facts; instead, they will experience the joy of discovering and learning through play.

Schedule	Saturday, July 4, 2026, 9:00-11:00am Saturday, July 4, 2026, 1:00-3:00pm *Advance reservations are required. You may come and go freely during the designated time.
Eligible Age Range	Children aged 2 up to before entering elementary school.
Overview	At our interactive Open School, children won’t simply sit and be taught. Instead, they’ll explore, create, question, and discover the joy of learning through play. CGK International School Preschool became an authorized IB PYP (Primary Years Programme) school in 2023. Every day, our students engage in inquiry-based learning that encourages them to think independently, ask meaningful questions, and develop a lifelong love of learning. This July’s Open School is more than a school introduction — it’s a chance to experience the CGK learning journey firsthand. Children will be invited into a variety of open-ended activities designed to spark curiosity and exploration. While the environment may look like free play, each experience is intentionally designed to encourage thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and discovery. Our teachers carefully observe and interact with the children throughout the activities, extending their ideas and supporting deeper inquiry through conversation and guidance. Come experience the child-centered philosophy at the heart of CGK’s IB education — where curiosity leads the way, and learning grows naturally through play. IB Experience Session Application

Open School on Weekdays with Observation

Observe live lessons. CGK staff will be available to not only provide explanations, but to answer any questions you may have.
*You are welcome to bring your children, but we ask that the parents/guardians watch over them.

Schedule	After you have applied, we will discuss the schedule with you individually. In principle, students who enroll during the 2026 academic year are eligible.

Even if you pay a lump-sum annual fee, if you request to withdraw from the school two months or more in advance, the fee will be refunded after the withdrawal.
