School Bus Route Expansion Plans: Musashi-Kosugi and Other Areas
Since opening in 2016, CGK has operated two school buses, mainly serving Yokohama’s Naka, Nishi and Isogo wards, including Minatomirai, Isogo, Honmoku, Yamate and Kannai. To accommodate our growing student numbers and make CGK International School accessible to more families, we are considering introducing a third school bus from the 2024 school year and moving to a three-bus operation.
For the new route, our current first choice is the Musashi-Kosugi area, although we are also considering other areas along the Tokyu Toyoko Line and beyond. To respond to families’ needs as fully as possible, we welcome input from families considering enrollment at CGK and current families living outside the existing bus service area. If there are too few interested families, we may decide not to introduce the new route. Please also invite families in your neighborhood to complete the survey.
Custom-built school buses take time to introduce, so we would appreciate hearing from as many families as possible soon.

- Elementary School: Grades 1–2 (morning service only); please consult us about Grade 3 and above

Bus service is available in the morning and afternoon for Preschool and in the morning only for Elementary School. Children may use the service from the age-2 class.

- Tokyu Toyoko–Minatomirai Line: Yokohama, Shin-takashima, Minatomirai, Bashamichi, Nihon-odori and Motomachi-Chukagai
- Municipal Subway Blue Line: Yokohama, Takashimacho, Sakuragicho, Kannai and Isezaki-chojamachi
- Keikyu Main Line: Kanagawa, Yokohama and Tobe
- Sotetsu Main Line: Yokohama, Hiranumabashi and Nishi-yokohama
The Honmoku area is also served.
