Community Service
Our Mountain (4-year-old) classes have taken the initiative to make a positive impact on our local community!
Inspired by their own ideas and a desire to help, our future generation of leaders (Mountain Class) came up with the idea of doing a community cleanup! With the support of their teachers, they practiced their garbage-picking skills in the classroom, learning about different types of waste, how to sort trash and the importance of proper disposal.
On October 25th, our Mountain A and Mountain B students ventured out into the neighborhood, armed with gloves, bags sorted by “plastic, burnable and other”, and their enthusiasm for helping the environment. They worked diligently to collect litter from sidewalk, streets and Yokohama Park, transforming our community into a cleaner and more beautiful place.
Their enthusiasm and dedication were truly inspiring. As they picked up discarded items, they talked about the negative impact of litter on our environment and the importance of reducing waste. This project not only instilled a sense of responsibility in our young learners but also taught them the importance of caring for their community and the planet. They had the confidence to suggest such an activity, and the support of their teachers to make it possible.
We are incredibly proud of their initiative and the positive impact they have made on our neighborhood. Their efforts serve as a shining example of how even the youngest among us can make a difference.
