A Bus Outing to Takashima Chuo Park in Minato Mirai

On May 16, we took the school bus to Takashima Chuo Park in Yokohama’s Minato Mirai area.
Children who did not normally use the bus were delighted simply to ride it. Regular bus riders were excited to travel together with all their friends too.
Since we were visiting a different park, we got off a little farther away and walked through Minato Mirai.
We spotted a fountain on the way. When asked what it was, the children answered, “Water!” That was true, but it was also a chance for a new word. Kevin introduced “fountain.” The setting was perfect for practicing it because there were several, and each discovery brought excited cries of “One more!”
Before playing, we reviewed the rules: stay within the agreed area and be kind to the other children using the park.
The swings and climbing frame offered equipment different from our usual parks. Many children concentrated hard as they challenged themselves to climb. Some reached higher than the teachers’ heads and proudly said, “I’m tall!”
Alongside English learning, Cosmo Global Kids values healthy growth and developing physical strength.
As the weather grows warmer, we look forward to more outdoor activities while taking care to keep everyone hydrated.
