We made pizza toast with the children!
After introducing the ingredients and explaining the precautions, they concentrated carefully on preparing it.
They understood that freshly baked toast was hot and needed care. They ate politely, enjoyed it thoroughly and came back for more.
Cooking offers a useful opportunity for active participation and noticing changes, rather than learning only by receiving information.
Interest in ingredients can sometimes encourage a child to try a previously disliked vegetable. Above all, the children clearly enjoy the experience.
