A Walk, Pretend Play and Taking the Lead

We went for a walk to the deck with Hannah.
At the steps, the children began playing house, saying, “It’s my house!” and “Welcome!” They also enjoyed playing tag with Hannah along the deck.
Because the steps resembled the tiers of a Hina doll display, we arranged ourselves on them for a photograph to mark the Doll Festival.
The second photograph shows our leadership activity. Following Kevin’s suggestion, we chose a leader to help teachers by giving directions when lining up or greeting others. We planned to introduce a rotating leader role when these two-year-olds moved into the three-year-old class.
