CGK International School is an international school with two campuses in Naka-ku, Yokohama, with more than 280 students.
Since its opening, CGK has emphasized inquiry-based learning and is IB PYP World School in our preschool and elementary school.
In this Spring School, students will engage in a variety of fun and educational activities while nurturing their ability of self-expression, critical thinking skills, and spirit of inquiry.

*However, March 18 and 19, 2026 must be booked together as a two-day set.

10:00 am - 2:00 pm (CGK Students 7,700 yen (Including Tax), Non-CGK Students 8,800 yen (Including Tax))
*Please enter after 10:00 am and leave by 2:00 pm
*For current CGK Afterschool students, on the days they normally attend the Regular Course, they may stay until 7:00 pm as usual.
*On March 18 and 19, 2026, Day 1 will be charged at the field trip day rate (10 am - 4 pm) and Day 2 at the regular day rate (10 am - 2 pm).Field Trip

Make Your Own Kites at Kishine Park - Bus Field Trip Day |
Create your own kite and fly it!
Students will start the day at CGK where they will learn about what it takes to make a good kite and the science behind flight. They will then work to create their own kites out of classroom materials and personalise them to make them their own. Once they have made their kites we will take the bus to Kishine Park where students will have a picnic, get to fly their kites, and have some time to play before returning to CGK. *In case of bad weather students will still make kites, but they will have lunch at CGK. |

Reuse classroom junk to create original artwork!
Students will discuss recycling and look at various art projects from around that world that have employed innovative techniques using reclaimed trash to create vibrant art works that share a message. Students will then work with friends or individually to create their own artwork using recycled materials in the classroom before presenting their work to their peers. |

Asobimare - Train Field Trip Day |
Enjoy a fun filled day at Asobimare.
At Asobimare, students can enjoy sledding and playing in Snow Town, a special area made with artificial snow! *We will be taking the train. Please make sure your SUICA/PASMO is charged and meet at Yokohama Station North Gate. Please be aware that if you are running late we can not wait and will take the train as scheduled. We will come back to CGK Kannai Campus together. |

Work together to design and build a bridge that can span a gap and withstand some weight.
Working in groups, students will discuss, research, plan, and design ways they can build a bridge that spans a gap between two tables. Groups are free to choose a building style and material that works for them. During presentation time the bridges will be subjected to various stresses to see how they hold up and who made the strongest bridge. |

CGK Sports Day at YC&AC - Bus Field Trip Day |
Become CGK sports day champions!
Students will start the day at CGK where we will discuss the flow of the day, the rules of the facility, and decide mixed teams for the day. We will then take the CGK bus to Yokohama Country & Athletic Club (YC&AC) where teams will compete in a variety of tournament games. Using the large outdoor field students will participate in games of soccer, sprint, relay, handball, capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, kickball, dodgeball and more! *This Sports Day is an event in which only children may participate. Please note that parents/guardians are not permitted to attend. |

Through hands-on activities using prisms, CDs, and soap bubbles, this science program helps students learn about rainbows, light, and how our eyes work. |

Students will design and build their own original games using cardboard and other everyday materials. Through thoughtful discussion and planning, they will collaborate in teams to turn their ideas into reality. After completing their creations, students will test their games, reflect on how they work, and refine them through repeated play. This hands-on program fosters creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork through the power of play. |

Children's Nature Park - Bus Field Trip Day |
Enjoy a picnic and active day out at the Children's Nature Park.
Enjoy an active day out with friends at the Children's Nature Park. We will walk around a lake and through a picturesque forest on our way to the picnic area surrounded by nature. After eating we will play games in the wide open spaces before heading to the large sale forest play area. There are plenty of things to climb, slide, and enjoy, as you put your strength and sense of adventure to the test! Children also have the opportunity to have hands-on interaction with small animals such as guinea pigs and mice *Please inform us in advance if you do not wish to participate in animal interactions. |

Can we make batteries out of produce? Can a potato be a battery? How about a lemon?
Students will utilize the scientific method to learn what batteries and circuits are, learn how they work, and test and see if fruits and vegetables can be used as batteries. We will then test to see if we can use potatoes and lemons to power various electronic devices. |

Exploring Nature in Yokohama at Yokohama Nature Sanctuary - Bus Field Trip Day |
Become an explorer and search for wild animals!
Students will start their day at CGK where they will discuss the type of nature that they have seen in Yokohama. Students will imagine what Yokohama would have looked like before humans made it their home and discuss the importance of preserving natural areas and the benefits they bring as our cities continue to sprawl. Students will make their own nature booklets at CGK before taking the bus to the Yokohama Nature Sanctuary which is the largest forest in Yokohama. Students will explore the reserve, have a picnic, look for native animals that they can note down in their nature books, and then return to CGK for pick up. *In case of very bad weather we will take part in various nature related activities and games. |

Channel your inner engineer to create an elaborate marble run inspired by the popular TV show.
Students will either work together as a group or in several groups depending on their preference to make a gigantic course that a marble can follow. How big the course gets and what the marble has to overcome is all up to their imagination. Planning, communication, and teamwork will be essentials for all parts of the course to fit together. |

Relax and unwind with friends old and new at VS Park!
The facility offers a family game show-like experience with lots of amazing physical activities to get the heart pumping! *Students will be engaged in physical activity so please feel free to bring a change of clothes if required. |

- Do you provide bus transportation?

No, we do not. We ask that parents/guardians drop off and pick up their children, or the children commute to the school on their own.
- Are school lunches provided?

Yes, you can bring your own lunch or order a lunch on Regular Days. Please bring your own on Field Trip Days.
- Can I visit the school before I apply?

Yes. You are welcome to observe an actual afterschool classes. Please feel free to contact us.
- Is it possible to extend the hours of care?

Pre-extended care (from 9:00 or 9:30 am) is available. No extended care after the end of Seasonal School (2:00 pm for Regular Days and 4:00 pm for Field Trip Days) is available.
- Can I apply by the day?

Yes. Seasonal School is available on a per day basis.
- Is there a maximum capacity?

Yes. The daily capacity is approximately 45 students for the Regular Days and Train Field Trip Days, and approximately 32 students for Bus Field Trip Days.
- Can I find out about my child's lessons after they participate?

We will share photos of how the day went through LINE. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about your child's experience.
- Is there a reservation deadline?

Yes. The deadline is 5:00 pm on the business day before your desired date. (If your booking is for Monday, the deadline is 5:00 pm on Friday.)
If you submit the form after the deadline, your reservation will only be confirmed once you receive a reply from us via LINE or phone.
- Is there a cancellation fee if I need to cancel my reservation?
