Welcoming New Children: Our 2017 Entrance Ceremony

On April 3, Cosmo Global Kids held its second entrance ceremony.
Some children entered the room energetically, while others stayed close to their parents, feeling nervous. We welcomed 15 new children: ten two-year-olds and five three-year-olds.
After introducing the staff, we called each new child’s name. Despite their nerves, they tried their best to answer or raise a hand.
Returning children offered a song, showing how well they could enter together, line up and sing.
The ceremony ended with a group photograph of the new children, their families and the staff.
Cosmo Global Kids was beginning its second year.
The previous ceremony had included just four children: three starting in April and one in May. Over the year, staff had shared ideas and developed events and lessons that made the most of being a new school.
Extracurricular classes began in January, and in April the Pygmalion learning curriculum joined the daytime program. CGK described itself at the time as the first preschool to introduce Pygmalion. We were also working with a French restaurant’s owner-chef on a year-round food education program.
We plan our curriculum carefully but also look beyond it for experiences children can enjoy. Alongside education, we support independence and emotional growth through attentive care.
We look forward to a year full of smiles for children and staff!
