We are excited to announce that CGK School Festival 2024 will be held at CGK International School on Sunday, October 27, 2024!
Building on the success of last year’s festival, this year’s event will be even bigger, spanning across five floors of our Kannai campus. Each floor will offer a variety of exciting games, face painting, exhibitions, music, and performances, providing a full day of entertainment for everyone. This special event will not only give you a chance to experience the unique learning environment and activities at CGK but also serve as an opportunity to deepen connections with the local community.
CGK International School is an IB PYP-accredited school for children aged 2 to 11 (as of 2024). Over the past nine years, we have grown to welcome over 230 students this year, and we are continuously expanding with the aim of becoming a full through-school, offering education from preschool to high school.
At this year's festival, we are pleased to welcome participation from organizations, companies, and individuals who have had a relationship with CGK throughout our years of education and care. This event will not only be fun but also provide a meaningful opportunity to reflect on CGK's history and look forward to its future.
We will share more details about the event in the coming weeks. We encourage you to make a reservation in advance, as this will ensure a smoother check-in process on the day and allow you to enjoy the festival without worrying about entry restrictions, even if the venue becomes crowded.

YOKOHAMA EXCELLENCE
In 2001, Yokohama Excellence was founded as an amateur men's basketball club. After winning the Tokyo Championship and finishing third in the All-Japan Club Basketball Championships the club turned professional and became Tokyo Excellence in 2012 to continue their success and growth.
On July 1, 2021, the club relocated to Yokohama and became Yokohama Excellence to reflect its new home. In the 2022/23 season, the club finished third in the B3 League.
Yokohama Excellence is competing this season with Yokohama Budokan as our home arena, aiming for promotion to B2.

ICONIC STAGE
ICONIC STAGE is a food brand housed in an old building in Yokohama for hydroponic cultivation using LED technology. We grow leafy vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers, which are then used in our offerings such as baked goods and prepared dishes at cafes and patisseries. Last year, we opened our second location in Marunouchi, Tokyo. Recently, we have also started providing elegant catering services, receiving requests from companies, events, schools, and even households.

We offer a “decoration experience” for our original ICONIC STAGE panna cotta, along with homemade lemonade, homemade lemon soda, homemade lemon donuts, and mini Reuben croissant sandwiches for sale.

Our students visit Iconic Stage to observe their LED farm and facilities. Having exclusive use of the Iconic Stage Cafe, the children decorate their pancakes using herbs and edible flowers that are grown at Iconic Stage’s LED farm. Besides enjoying some delicious pancakes, the children get to see first hand an innovative way of farming.

Il Calice is an Italian wine and food specialty store that celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. We always have over 100 types of Italian wine in stock, as well as a wide selection of ingredients such as cheese, ham, salami, and pasta. If you love delicious food, we are waiting for you!

Mizunobu Brook & Factory, affiliated with the Mizunobu brand that began as an importer of bananas, is based in Yokohama, Kanagawa. We focus on offering "unique flavors that can only be experienced here, such as parfaits and sweets made with seasonal fruits. Additionally, we sell a variety of processed products, including fresh gelato, desserts, baked goods, and jams made with fruits.

Poster Creation Project with Professional Designers
The poster creation for CGK School Festival 2024 was primarily led by students from the 4th and 5th grade elementary classes during their Japanese classes. The 5th graders took on a leading role, managing the entire process having direct communication with the designer regarding the order and completion. Meanwhile, the 4th graders engaged in practicing how to shape their ideas in preparation for next year.
This project had two main goals:
- Give students insight into society.
- Give students real world experience in collaborating with professionals to create high-quality deliverables.
